As we write this, the reconciliation bill is still up in the air.  Citizens’ Climate Lobby will soon launch a calling campaign to members of Congress. Urgent Request Our regular September newsletter is below, but before getting to that we have an urgent request.  Please write and/or call Sen. Bob Casey’s office before Thursday, Sept. 9.  Sen. Casey is a member of the Senate Finance Committee which is meeting on Thursday to complete wording for the large reconciliation bill that will include many measures addressing climate change.  According to Forbes, a price on carbon will be under consideration.  We need to urge Sen. Dear CCL members,We are pleased to share that on June 24, the Senate passed (92 to 8) The Growing Climate Solutions Act with overwhelming bipartisan support. This bill was both endorsed by Citizens’ Climate Lobby and also served as a “secondary ask” in many CCL chapter lobbying meetings across the country, including our own.
